Security Officer - Harrington Memorial Hospital

Provide security for the safety and protection of Harrington Memorial Hospital's patients, staff, public, and properties. Responsibilities include patrolling buildings and grounds, inspecting doors and windows, recording security breaches, and assisting law enforcement as needed.

Major Responsibilities:

1. Participate in emergency response programs such as Code Orange and Code Yellow.
2. Handle a wide range of public safety issues effectively.
3. Interpret and follow written and oral instructions.
4. Work cooperatively with law enforcement within legal boundaries.

Position Qualifications:

License/Certification/Education:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Complete hospital orientation and annual competency reviews.
• Obtain CPR certification, Fit testing, and other mandated training within specified timeframes.
• Complete AVADE 2 restraint training within 6 months of hire.

Experience/Skills:

• Minimum of three years related experience in public safety.
