Base pay range

$18.13/hr - $18.13/hr

Job Description

Siena College Public Safety Officers ensure the safety and security of the Siena College Community by providing professional services to students, employees, and visitors, as well as conducting physical security and safety checks of the property and buildings. Responsibilities include enforcement of Siena College policies and applicable laws, emergency response, patrol (foot, bike, motor vehicle), traffic enforcement and control, access control, community training and education, and other duties assigned by Public Safety Administrators.

Officers also facilitate departmental goals and serve as liaisons with students and the college community.

Shift Schedule

Thursday through Monday, 4:00 pm to 12:00 am

Salary

$18.13/hour

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in Criminal Justice preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years security or law enforcement experience required.
• Valid NYS driver’s license and insurability at the time of appointment, maintained throughout employment.
• NYS eight-hour pre-assignment training certificate or ability to obtain prior to employment.
• NYS Security Guard License or ability to obtain and maintain it during employment.
• Experience in a campus setting is helpful.
• Background screening required.
