Public Safety Officer/Armed - 2nd Shift - Full Time

Job Details: To provide maximum security for the hospital during daily operations and emergencies. The armed security officer enforces hospital security rules among patients, visitors, and staff in a professional manner aligned with the hospital's mission to care for children. Responsibilities include surveillance, prevention, and infection control, maintaining a hazard-free environment, collaborating across departments, providing patient transport, and maintaining a valid driver’s license with hospital insurance coverage. Must be able to lift 70 lbs.

Facility: Dayton Children's - Main Campus

Department: Public Safety - Administration

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week

Additional Requirements: Work towards OPOTA certification within 12 months of hire. Education required: GED or High School diploma. Certification: OPOTA or similar, from Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy or Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission.
