Public Safety Officer - 76th street, split shift, full-time

As a Public Safety Officer (PSO), you will support safety operations across our facilities. Responsibilities include patrolling assigned areas, responding to emergencies, inspecting premises, investigating incidents, de-escalating conflicts, performing weapon screenings, securing property, and liaising with law enforcement.

Minimum Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Certification or ability to obtain IAHSS Basic certification within 6 months
• Certification or ability to complete Defensive Tactics for Security within 3 months
• CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain within 3 months
• Certification in Marcus Crisis Prevention Program or equivalent within 1 year

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least one year of security experience

Skills & Abilities:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to write incident reports and perform recordkeeping
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with hospital software systems
