Job Requirements and Responsibilities

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license required.

• One to three years of related experience and/or training preferred; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Job Purpose and Reporting Structure

Under general supervision, the security officer protects employees, patients, visitors, medical staff, and property, controls traffic inside and outside buildings, and performs related public safety duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Enforce policies to ensure safety and security of the clinics. Consult with departments on safety equipment and security measures.
• Address security needs, identify safety concerns, and recommend corrective measures. Write reports on daily activities, irregularities, equipment or property damage, theft, unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
• Foster a positive environment to develop and enhance working relationships. Support departmental goals and accept additional assignments to ensure service continuity.
• Use work time efficiently to meet expectations. Adapt to changes in a manner that supports departmental objectives.
• Follow safety and infection control policies to ensure a safe environment. Address safety concerns related to equipment and the working environment.

Additional Considerations

Employees in certain departments must be fully vaccinated against MMR, Varicella, and Influenza, as required by Outreach Community Health Centers.
