Kalamazoo Valley Community College may have the perfect opportunity for you as a Public Safety Officer.
This part-time position reports to the Captain of Public Safety. A Public Safety Officer performs law enforcement functions on the grounds and around the perimeters of all Kalamazoo Valley Community College sites.
Additional responsibilities include investigating criminal and non-criminal incident complaints received from the college community; writing reports involving incidents for presentation to the Prosecuting Attorney's Office and/or the College's Ombudsman; working with students and staff on crime prevention issues; developing and presenting related training as appropriate; and other related tasks.
Extensive standing, walking, performing patrols, directing traffic, and providing physical assistance in emergency situations.
