Job summary

Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet is seeking a Security Officer to perform security services, monitor electronic surveillance, and conduct rounds to ensure a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. The role includes enforcing policies and coordinating with the Environment of Care committee to address safety concerns.

The position is full-time with an evening shift (2:00 PM–10:30 PM) and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare security or related field preferred.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.

Responsibilities

Performs security services, including electronic surveillance, and systematic manual Security Officers’ rounds. Coordinates facility response to various potential problems for patients, employees, and visitors. Enforces policy & procedure, ensuring equitable enforcement. Follows guidelines and perpetual monitoring techniques, towards establishing a safe workplace for employees and a safe environment of care. Works with the Environment of Care committee to ensure a multi-disciplinary approach to security and safety. Participates in employee awareness and education. Driving as needed for company business.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Experience in Healthcare security or related field preferred
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.

• State Driver’s license upon hire
• Current DMV H6 report or Driving History Report
