Job summary

Garden Grove Hospital Medical Center in Garden Grove, CA, is seeking a Security Officer to protect patients, staff, and visitors. This role involves electronic surveillance, rounds, and enforcing safety policies to maintain a secure environment of care.

Responsibilities

• Performs security services, including electronic surveillance, and systematic manual Security Officers’ rounds.
• Coordinates facility response to various potential problems for patients, employees, and visitors.
• Enforces policy & procedure, ensuring equitable enforcement.
• Follows guidelines and perpetual monitoring techniques, towards establishing a safe workplace for employees and a safe environment of care.
• Works with the Environment of Care committee to ensure a multi-disciplinary approach to security and safety. Drives as needed for company business.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Experience in Healthcare security or related field preferred
• State Guard Certification Registration Card
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required

• State Driver’s license upon hire
• Current DMV H6 report or Driving History Report

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $23.23 to $26.49. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
