Job summary

Securitas USA is seeking a Public Safety Officer for a full-time role in Boone, IA. The officer will monitor premises, enforce site rules, and assist with access control and patrols to ensure a safe environment for clients, visitors, and staff.

Typical duties include de-escalation, reporting hazards, responding to emergencies, and using security tech during shifts. The position requires CPR within 30 days, a HS diploma or GED, and strong customer service and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in pre-employment screening including drug screen and background investigation.
• CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
• Previous Military or Criminal Justice experience preferred.

• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

The Public Safety Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.
