Responsibilities
You will provide peace of mind to our patients and staff by monitoring situations on and off campus, ensuring a safe environment for all, and responding appropriately to emergency situations and delicate patient matters using strong people skills and professional judgment.
Position
Public Safety Officer
Shift
3pm-11:30pm, with every other weekend and holiday requirement
Experience
- Experience in a healthcare setting or in a security/customer service-related field preferred.
Required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to think independently yet listen to and work with a team.
- Ability to maintain confidential information and handle confidential matters.
- Critical thinking skills and ability to handle and resolve recurring problems.
Education
High school diploma required.
Licensures/Certifications
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record for the last 10 years.
- Must be certified or eligible for Commonwealth of Pennsylvania State Lethal Weapons Training Certification (Act 235).
- Must complete Managing of Aggressive Behavior or MOAB parts 1, 2 & 3 within 4 months of employment.
