Job summary

The Leadership Coordinator (Public Safety Training Specialist 2) at the Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST) oversees leadership development training for public safety professionals across Oregon.

The role requires coordinating resources and delivering curriculum in leadership, supervision, and organizational management, while guiding advisory groups and ensuring policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Six (6) years of professional level experience related to the leadership development, frontline supervision and organizational management in public safety.
• Experience delivering structured training sessions or on-the-job training.
• College-level coursework related to the subject matter may substitute on the basis of 45-quarter units per year of experience up to three years.

Responsibilities

• Develops, coordinates, and delivers public safety training related to leadership development, frontline supervision, and organizational management.
• Assess resources and determine cost effectiveness for training programs and projects.
• Guide, motivate, and counsel advisory groups, contracts, agency loans, and students for optimum performance; ensure policy compliance.
