Job description

SALARY: $19.00 per hour.

40 hours per week Monday – Friday * Approximately 4 weeks will have overnight hours * May 19th 2025 through August 29th 2025

LOCATION: City of Saratoga Springs – Department of Public Safety.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

The following qualification(s) must be met and clearly detailed on the City of Saratoga Springs employment application form by the last filing date:

1. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
2. Possess and maintain a current and valid NYS driver’s license throughout the duration of employment.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Willingness to work outdoors, occasionally under adverse weather conditions.
2. Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 70 pounds for short lifts and 50 pounds repetitively.
3. Ability to work in a highway construction environment where most of the work takes place in and around motor vehicle traffic.

DUTIES:

1. Assist the Traffic Department in the installation and maintenance of traffic pavement markings and other related traffic control devices on all city streets and parking lots.
