Job summary

Planet Technologies is seeking a Business Development Manager for Public Safety to drive growth in state and local government, education, and related agencies.

You will build and maintain relationships with customers and partners, translate CJIS/security policies into business value, and lead funding and procurement conversations that expand Planet’s footprint in this vertical. Willingness to travel is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of sales experience in Public Safety, SLG and EDU
• Proven ability to generate top-of-funnel activity and expand existing customers
• Strong understanding of Microsoft tech landscape in public sector context

Responsibilities

• New business development generating pipeline and revenue via outbound prospecting, campaigns, referrals and events
• Identify and cultivate external opportunities to expand Planet’s presence in Public Safety
• Position Planet’s services and Microsoft cloud solutions to help Public Safety customers modernize
• Develop and grow relationships with customers, partners and influencers
• Maintain fluency in Public Safety buyer landscape and procurement trends
• Collaborate on SOW/RFX responses tailored to client needs
• Provide forecasts and pipeline reporting to leadership
• Meet or exceed bookings and pipeline-gen targets
