Job summary

Eureka County in Nevada seeks Telecommunicator I–III to handle 911 and non-emergency calls, dispatch field units, and maintain critical records. You will interact with the public and partner agencies, using multiple computer systems in a high-stress environment.

The role requires attention to detail, calm under pressure, and strong communication skills. Training is provided, and advancement opportunities exist within the Communications Department.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in dispatch or call taking preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure in a high call-volume center.

Responsibilities

• Answer 911 and non-emergency calls and determine appropriate response.
• Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units and relay information.
• Maintain logs, records, and databases; operate NCIC/NCJIS/NLETS systems.
