Qualifications

• Knowledge of public safety organizations and operations.

Responsibilities

• Operates a multi-line telephone to answer calls and classify requests.
• Contacts ambulance services, hospitals, and other agencies as needed.
• Directs calls to proper departments and answers routine questions.
• Operates CAD system and radio equipment for emergency dispatch.
• Maintains radio logs and records service requests and responses.
• Receives and transmits messages; supports FCIC/NCIC networks when required.
• Completes related clerical tasks and maintains knowledge of procedures.
• Works overtime or alternate hours as necessary for operations.
