Job summary

The California Highway Patrol, Border Communications Center in San Diego, is hiring a Public Safety Dispatch Supervisor I. The role is permanent and full-time with a monthly salary range of $5,819.00 to $8,012.00, plus a recruitment/retention differential for Border Communications Center staff.

You will supervise dispatchers and operators, coordinate schedules, and train staff while handling payroll and performance evaluations. In-office work is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Public Safety Dispatchers and Public Safety Operators.
• Coordinate and prepare monthly and daily work schedules.
• Train dispatch personnel and establish training needs and guidelines.
• Prepare probationary and annual performance appraisals.
• Ensure payroll paperwork is handled daily and monthly; assist with coverage on the dispatch floor.
• Participate in pre-employment interviews.
