Job summary

Chisago County seeks an Emergency Communications Services Administrator to oversee engineering, design, and maintenance of radio, E-911, and PBX systems. You will coordinate with vendors, manage budgets, and drive training for ARMER users.

The role reports to the Emergency Communications Services Director, is full-time, on-site in Center City, MN, and requires strong communication, leadership, and project management skills with a focus on public safety systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two-year electronics certificate with 5 years of experience, or a four-year engineering degree with 4 years in electronics.
• Minnesota driver’s license is required.
• FCC license or ability to obtain one within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Assess public safety communications needs of county departments.
• Liaise with vendors on hardware, software purchases, and maintenance.
• Provide system engineering, design, analysis and service for radio, E-911, mobile data, PBX systems.
• Manage projects and budgets, track expenditures, and report performance.
• Deliver Train the Trainer and create user training materials for ARMER users.
