Qualifications

• Reading and writing skills in English capable of completing reports, forms, and memos.
• Respond to inquiries, complaints, and requests for service in a fair, tactful, and firm manner.
• Two years of code inspection and enforcement experience or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and enforce all Animal Control matters.
• Investigate complaints and patrol for stray or abandoned animals; conduct impounds and quarantines.
• Handle sick, injured, and dead animals; respond to aggressive animals.
• Enforce Code Enforcement matters and inspect code violations.
• Enforce municipal laws regarding vehicle parking and abandoned vehicles.
• Take reports of minor crimes including theft, vandalism, and lost/found property.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare written reports and memos.
• Engage in community feedback events and assist in large-scale animal service efforts.
