Responsibilities

• Plan and staff trade shows such as CES, IFA, and MWC, including press meetings.
• Lead client teams and collaborate with China-based brands navigating U.S. media.
• Develop campaign strategy, pitches, and press materials for reviewers.
• Oversee interns and junior staff on list building, tracking, and reporting.
• Participate in video client calls and contribute to new business pitches.

Lightspeed PR & Marketing is an award-winning PR and digital marketing agency, founded in 2013, that specializes in consumer technology. We launch gadgets, get them into reviewers' hands, and onto "best of" lists. Our clients range from iconic consumer electronics brands to fast-moving challengers, including several China-based brands entering or growing into the U.S. and global markets. We also work in XR/spatial computing, AI, health tech, and defense tech.

We're looking for a Consumer Electronics Senior Account Executive for a full-time, fully remote position.

What you'll do:

• Run consumer electronics product launches from start to finish: embargoed briefings, launch-day coverage, and the long tail of reviews
• Manage review programs: decide which products go to which reviewers, handle loaner logistics, and follow up until the review runs
• Pitch and secure coverage in tech and lifestyle media, including hands-on reviews, "best of" roundups, gift guides, and news
• Plan and staff trade shows such as CES, IFA, and MWC, including booking press meetings, running booth tours, and working the show floor
• Act as a day-to-day lead for client teams, including China-based brands navigating U.S. media for the first time
• Develop campaign strategy, pitches, and press materials, and advise clients on what will actually land with reviewers
• Oversee interns and junior staff on list building, tracking, and reporting
• Lead or join video client calls and contribute to new business pitches

You'll be a great fit if you have:

• 3-5 years in PR or media relations, with a significant share of that time spent on consumer electronics products (agency or in-house)
• Real, working relationships with consumer tech editors and reviewers, the kind where you can text someone about a launch
• A portfolio of CE placements you're proud of: reviews, roundups, launch coverage
• Hands-on experience with product launches, embargoes, and review-unit programs
• Trade show experience (CES, IFA, or similar), and enjoying it
• Experience managing or mentoring junior team members
• Strong writing skills and a sharp sense of what makes a product story interesting
• A genuine interest in technology innovation. You read reviews and have opinions about them.
• Not required but a plus: Chinese language ability (Mandarin, spoken and written)
• MUST reside in the United States (required)
