Public Relations Manager (Onsite)

About The Role

We are looking for a creative and connected Public Relations Manager to join a dynamic Commercial team. Reporting to the Commercial Director and will be responsible for building the resort’s media presence, storytelling voice, and strategic communication plans across traditional and digital platforms—locally, regionally, and internationally.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute an integrated public relations strategy that supports the resort’s positioning, guest experiences, and business goals.
  • Oversee the development and distribution of press releases, ensuring engagement on the FS Press Room and other media platforms.
  • Manage all PR activities including media pitches, press releases, story placements, and press visits.
  • Create all in-house collateral promoting events and activations on-property (The Spa, Tavernetta Vail, The Remedy, etc.).
  • Lead weekly Marketing Meeting (with the support of Commercial Director and Marketing Strategist) to ensure all communications are aligned to support business goals.
  • Oversee and update all resort content on website, all online platforms, broadcast media, and tourism channels.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial and Resort teams to promote new offerings, campaigns, and seasonal events.
  • Monitor media coverage and prepare performance reports and monthly clippings.
  • Handle sensitive communication issues and manage crisis communications in alignment with brand guidelines.

What You Bring

  • A degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or Marketing, or similar.
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in PR/media relations, communications, or digital marketing, ideally within the luxury hospitality, lifestyle, or tourism industry.
  • Strong network of media contacts regionally and globally.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a flair for compelling storytelling.
  • A keen eye for aesthetics, ensuring high-quality content creation.
  • Ability to source and execute on-brand activations and collaborations, particularly in the culinary, wellness, and adventure tourism space.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Experience managing third-party agencies, influencers, and vendors.
  • Fluency in English is required for this location and this job requires applicants to have current work authorization in the in the United States.

Schedule & Hours

  • This is a full-time position.
  • A successful candidate will have a flexible schedule, and the ability to work morning, afternoon and evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.
