The Role

Summary: We are looking for a dynamic Public Relations Manager to develop and implement strategic communication plans that enhance our company's public image. The ideal candidate will proactively manage media relations, write compelling press releases, and coordinate events to engage stakeholders and the public.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute effective public relations strategies to boost brand visibility.
  • Manage media relations and foster strong relationships with journalists and influencers.
  • Write and distribute press releases, announcements, and feature articles.
  • Coordinate and manage company events, including press conferences.
  • Develop and solidify crisis communications plans and identify and monitor potential risks and areas of vulnerability.
  • Provide training and support for all Carbon Direct stakeholders engaging with media.
  • Monitor media coverage and prepare detailed reports and analysis.
  • Act as a company spokesperson during interactions with the media.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.
  • Coordinate social media activity across platforms, showcasing key areas of strategic importance and expertise for the company.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in public relations or a similar role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in media monitoring and PR software tools.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with media professionals.
  • Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for addressing climate change.

Salary Range

$132,000-$162,000 a year
