Qualifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar and in good standing.
• One year of satisfactory United States legal experience after admission to any state bar; or six months as an Agency Attorney Interne (30086).
• Incumbents must remain Members of the New York State Bar in good standing for the duration of this employment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Department’s FOIL Unit and ensure mandatory compliance with applicable laws.
• Report to the Director of Legal Administration and Litigation Support and oversee the department’s legal activities in relation to FOIL.
