Job summary

Goldman Sachs in Jersey City seeks an Analyst for the AWM Public Product Control team to oversee valuation across mutual funds, separate accounts and derivatives. You will ensure accurate price verification for fixed income, equity, and derivatives while collaborating with Controllers, Portfolio Management and Traders.

The role involves developing valuation frameworks, interfacing with fund administrators, and preparing board-level reports, with a focus on accuracy and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Accounting, Economics or Finance degree preferred, but not required
• CFA, CPA or work towards the designations preferred, but not required
• 1-3 years experience in the financial markets and the investment management industry is preferred
• Willingness and drive to understand valuation methods for the securities mentioned above
• Strong interpersonal (verbal and written communication) skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to take initiative and work efficiently
• Proficiency in Microsoft Desktop Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Copilot

Responsibilities

• Assist in the price verification of fixed income securities
• Assist in developing a valuation framework for newly traded securities and funds with IT, Operations, Legal and Compliance teams
• Interact with independent fund administrators to resolve daily valuation questions for securities and derivatives
• Prepare management reports and key valuation metrics for the Business, Controllers Management and Fund Boards
• Coordinate an annual vendor due diligence process with independent pricing vendors and brokers
• Review and update the Valuation Policy at least annually
