Job summary

Barings in Charlotte, NC seeks an Associate Director to lead Global Public Portfolio Services Structured Credit funding and reporting. You will own CLO funds and SMA accounts with oversight of NAVs, fees, and P&L, building strong internal and external relationships.

The role emphasizes accuracy, regulatory awareness, and proactive process improvements. You will interact with portfolio managers and auditors, contribute to audits, and help optimize reporting workflows using advanced Excel, Power

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years Fund Accounting/Portfolio Administration experience. CPA and/or Audit experience a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills; AI/Co-pilot experience a plus; Power BI is beneficial.
• Experience with Aladdin would be a benefit.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical skills; detail-oriented and precise.

Responsibilities

• Own several CLO funds or SMA accounts with daily oversight and monthly sign-off.
• Reconcile NAVs, transactions, valuations, fees, distributions, capital calls, P&L.
• Develop relationships with Portfolio Managers, Sales, Legal, Compliance and external parties.
• Assist with Funds Audit processes and issue resolution.
• Maintain awareness of fund mandates and regulatory restrictions.
• Prepare portfolio reporting and demonstrate deep holdings knowledge.
• Identify process inefficiencies and propose improvements, incl. AI/Co-pilot use cases.
• Support system implementations and testing as needed.

Job Summary

Barings Global Public Portfolio Services Structured Credit team has an opening for a motivated individual who would like to join our innovative team of financial professionals.

Primary Responsibilities

Portfolio Oversight And Fund Accounting

Supporting Structured Credit team within Global Public Portfolio Services in order to meet their main responsibilities including:

• Full ownership and responsibility for several CLO funds and/or separately managed accounts including daily oversight as well as monthly review and sign off on internal accounting records.
• TPA Oversight. Reconcile CLO Funds NAVs, transactions, valuations, management and performance fee calculations, distributions, capital calls, P&L, and other activity between Barings and the fund accountant/administrator's records.
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key internal Barings stakeholders including Portfolio Managers, Sales, Legal, Compliance, others across the organization, as well as supporting effective external working relationships with related third parties e.g. TPAs, auditors, investors.
• Assist with Funds Audit process as needed.
• Raise service issues in an appropriate manner and follow issues to resolution.
• Maintain awareness of CLO fund/account client mandates, portfolio governing documents and regulatory restrictions. Act as subject matter expert on the funds/portfolios covered.
• Prepare relevant portfolio reporting as required.
• Demonstrate significant level of expertise of the holdings, terms, and transactions of multiple portfolios to provide intuitive and proactive oversight of these portfolios.

Systems And Operational Process Improvement

• Identify process inefficiencies and make improvement recommendations including but not limited to AI/Co-pilot use cases; Improve procedures implemented, document manual processes and work with relevant parties to reduce/eliminate.
• Assist with system implementation and testing as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years Fund Accounting/Portfolio Administration experience. CPA and/or Audit experience a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills preferred, experience/interest in exploring AI/Co-pilot a plus, Power BI experience would be a benefit.
• Previous experience with Aladdin would be a benefit.
• Effective, results oriented team player with strong interpersonal skills; possess very strong organizational and analytical skills; must be very detail oriented.
• Ability to handle high volumes of work under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
