Job summary

Aquent is seeking an Innovation Policy Manager to influence public discourse and policy around AI and immersive technologies. You will spearhead demonstrations, design policy experiences, and run strategic outreach to advocate for the societal and economic value of AI innovations.

The role collaborates with Product, Marketing, Legal, Communications, and Partnerships teams, engaging policymakers and industry partners to shape responsible innovation on a global scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public policy, law, political science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in policy or legal roles, with a focus on AI technology or related technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead demonstrations providing policy audiences with hands-on experiences using AI solutions, wearables, VR, and other cutting-edge technologies.
• Design, create, and execute policy experiences and events to educate policy stakeholders.
• Develop strategic outreach programs and policy campaigns to advocate for the economic and social value of AI innovation.
• Engage with policymakers, trade associations, industry partners, and non-profit groups to contribute to public discussions on AI value.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Legal, Communications, and Partnerships teams to build and drive AI policy programs.
• Build coalitions with other organizations to advance the company’s policy goals.
• Develop and project-manage innovative policy programs and campaigns, including for new AI products.
• Independently manage smaller advocacy campaigns or contribute to larger campaigns as primary lead.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives with internal and external stakeholders to champion AI innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead demonstrations providing policy audiences with hands‑on experiences using AI solutions, wearables, virtual reality, and other cutting‑edge technologies.
• Design, create, and execute innovative policy experiences and events to educate and inform policy stakeholders.
• Develop strategic outreach programs and policy campaigns to advocate for the economic and social value of AI innovation.
• Support engagement with policymakers, trade associations, industry partners, key opinion formers, non‑profit groups, and others to contribute to the public discussion on the economic and social value of innovative technologies, such as AI.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Product, Marketing, Legal, Communications, and Partnerships teams, as well as global policy teams, to build and drive programs and campaigns that demonstrate the value of AI innovation.
• Build coalitions with other organizations to advance the company’s policy goals.
• Develop and project manage innovative policy programs and campaigns, including those for new AI products.
• Independently manage smaller advocacy campaigns or collaborate on the management of larger campaigns, serving as a primary lead in some cases.
• Lead cross‑functional initiatives with both internal and external stakeholders to champion AI innovation.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public policy, law, political science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in policy or legal roles, with a focus on AI technology or other related technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in any of the following areas: AI technologies, wearables, virtual reality, policy programs and campaigns, security, privacy, integrity, competition, and the surrounding policy environments.
• Knowledge and experience with AI, open‑source innovation, wearables, and virtual reality.
• Policy stakeholder engagement experience.
• Policy Programs and Campaigns experience.
