Job summary

Aquent partners with a leading technology company to advance AI and immersive tech policy worldwide. The Innovation Policy Manager will shape public understanding, evangelize AI, and drive strategic campaigns highlighting the economic and social value of AI innovations.

Role involves cross-functional collaboration with Product, Marketing, Legal, Communications, and Partnerships teams, plus global policy units. Frequent domestic travel is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in policy or legal roles with a focus on AI technology or other advanced technologies.
• Bachelor's degree in public policy, law, political science, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead immersive demonstrations, providing policy audiences with hands-on experiences with AI solutions, wearables, VR, and other pioneering technologies.
• Design, create, and execute innovative policy experiences and events to educate and inform key policy stakeholders.
• Develop and implement strategic outreach programs and policy campaigns to advocate for the value of AI innovation.
• Support engagement with policymakers, trade associations, industry partners, key opinion formers, and non-profit groups to enrich public discussion on AI.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Legal, Communications, and Partnerships teams, as well as global policy teams, to build and drive programs showcasing AI value.
• Forge coalitions with external organizations to advance the company’s policy objectives.
• Develop and project manage innovative policy programs and campaigns, including those for new AI products.
• Independently manage smaller advocacy campaigns and contribute to larger campaigns, occasionally serving as a primary client lead.

What You'll Do

Must-Have Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public policy, law, political science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in policy or legal roles, with a strong focus on AI technology or other related advanced technologies.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience in any of the following areas: AI technologies, wearables, virtual reality, programs and campaigns, security, privacy, integrity, competition, and their surrounding policy environments.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with AI, open-source innovation, wearables, and virtual reality.
• Proven experience in policy stakeholder engagement.
• Experience in developing and executing policy programs and campaigns.
