Job summary

WOW! is seeking a Director of Government Affairs to lead public policy, community engagement, and regulatory advocacy.

This senior role reports to the General Counsel and focuses on building relationships with lawmakers, regulators, and stakeholders to support broadband expansion. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in government affairs, preferably with telecom or infrastructure experience, and can translate business priorities into effective public engagement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years in government affairs, public policy, or regulatory affairs.
  • Experience in broadband/telecom or infrastructure is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a public-facing representative of WOW!, building trusted relationships.
  • Monitor federal, state, and local policy developments and communicate impact.
  • Advocate WOW!’s positions through comments, testimony, and coalitions.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and outside lobbyists to manage advocacy initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to participate in boards, coalitions, and associations.
  • Support permitting, construction, and regulatory processes affecting network expansion.
