Job summary

The Greater Houston Partnership is seeking a Manager, Public Policy to lead the development, coordination, and execution of public policy communications and advocacy materials. You will translate complex policy issues into clear, audience-appropriate content and collaborate with stakeholders to advance advocacy priorities.

You will oversee policy communications, create deliverables, and partner with Marketing to ensure messaging consistency. Strong writing and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in government, public policy, political campaigns, legislative advocacy, and/or government affairs is required.
  • The ideal candidate is an excellent writer and thoughtful collaborator who is intellectually curious and familiar with federal, state, and local legislative and governmental processes.

Responsibilities

  • Translate complex policy issues into clear and compelling content for internal and external audiences.
  • Develop, edit, and distribute recurring Public Policy Division communications and newsletters.
  • Coordinate content development and distribution across Public Policy and Marketing and Communications teams.
  • Maintain an editorial calendar for policy communications and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Support AI-assisted workflows to improve content development and efficiency.
