Gabriel, Roeder, Smith & Company seeks a full-time Actuarial Analyst in Sunrise, FL to support actuaries and consultants on defined benefit pension and OPEB plans in the public sector. You will prepare client data, assist with valuations and benefit calculations for retirees, and contribute to studies and client communications.

Strong math, MS Office, and teamwork are essential. Minimum qualifications include a BA/BS in a related field, two actuarial exams, and 2+ years of hands-on experience

Qualificações

• BA/BS in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related field.
• Successful completion of two or more actuarial exams.
• Two or more years of hands-on actuarial experience with public or private benefit plans.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access.
• Proven computer programming skills.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Attention to detail and team collaboration.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare client information and data for analysis.
• Prepare and complete actuarial valuations with direction from consultants.
• Calculate benefits for retiring and terminating members.
• Prepare and complete special studies and analyses for clients.
• Prepare and handle routine correspondence and phone contact with clients.
• Provide other non-recurring assistance as directed by Team Leader or consultants.
