Job summary

Arch in Latham, NY seeks an Actuarial Analyst to support defined benefit valuations, assist with data requests, and develop actuarial models under the Managing Actuary. Strong Excel/VBA and SQL skills are preferred, with 0-3 years in pension actuarial work and progress toward ASA/CERA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance or related quantitative field.
• 0-3 years of pension actuarial background.
• Progress toward ASA or CERA credentials is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare actuarial valuations for Defined Benefit plans and related reports.
• Develop/maintain actuarial models and run unit tests of valuation codes.
• Handle client communications and data requests; assist in project work.
