Qualifications

  • 5 years’ experience in facility maintenance, construction, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, or irrigation systems.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all functions of Maintenance Tech I and II positions.
  • Maintain and repair irrigation control systems ensuring proper function and water efficiency.
  • Assist with maintenance and repairs of playground equipment under the direction of certified personnel.

Skills

Ability to perform specialized maintenance and repair work with accuracy
Strong troubleshooting skills for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, irrigation, and aquatic facilities
Ability to safely operate specialized tools, heavy machinery, and maintenance vehicles
Effective communication
Ability to train and provide guidance to lower-level technicians

Education

High School or G.E.D.
Aquatics Facility Operator (AFO) Certification
Certified Playground Safety Inspector Certification (CPSI)
Valid Kansas CDL Class B with air brakes
