Job summary

San Diego State University Research Foundation is seeking an KPBS Event Specialist in San Diego, CA. The role plans and executes events and experiences to reflect KPBS standards, engaging with members, donors, and partners both in person and virtually.

Responsibilities include coordinating logistics, vendor management, promotions, RSVPs, travel, and post‑event analysis. A Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in event production are preferred, with excellent communication and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Three years of related professional or technical experience.
• Experience in event production.
• Experience with event management software (Basecamp, Eventbrite).
• Strong communication and donor relations skills.
• Valid California Driver's License and reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate events from concept to completion aligning with KPBS goals.
• Manage venue, catering, A/V, and vendors ensuring policy compliance.
• Develop and execute promotional activities and attendee communications.
• Oversee guest travel, RSVPs, and post-event surveys.
• Collaborate with finance on contracts, budgets, and reporting.
• Support team events and participate in event committee.
