Job summary

Penn State College of Medicine invites applications for up to five part-time teaching assistants in the Public Health Sciences department. You will assist faculty, attend sessions, evaluate work, and support students across multiple courses.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in public health or related field required or preferred.
• Completion of course at Penn State or a similar course at another institution is preferred.
• Experience with CANVAS or similar learning management systems is valued.

Responsibilities

• Assist faculty in facilitating course functions (lectures, online sessions, team meetings, discussion boards).
• Attend regular classroom sessions when applicable.
• Evaluate assignments, papers, and exams with timely feedback and record grades.
• Review class material with students to reinforce learning objectives.
• Correspond with students via email, online platform, and in person promptly.
• Report any suspected academic integrity issues to the designated faculty member.
• May maintain the course CANVAS site and related materials.
