Job summary

The HIV/STI Surveillance Supervisor will hold a leadership role in the Baltimore City Health Department (BCHD) Bureau of Clinical Services and HIV/STI Prevention. The Clinical Services and HIV/STI Prevention Bureau works to decrease HIV and STI incidence through testing, partner services, linkage to care, epidemiology, surveillance, community engagement, PrEP, and clinical services.

The Supervisor will oversee surveillance for reportable infections and HIV, manage lab and clinician reports,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, management, or related field.
• Four years of professional-level administrative, operations, or technical experience.
• May require prior lead experience.
• Equivalency allowed: combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, manage, and review STI and HIV case finding and reporting.
• Ensure efficient case triage to partner services.
• Coordinate with Maryland Department of Health on STI/HIV surveillance.
• Develop reports on case status, epidemiology, and QA.
• Assist with partner services investigations as needed.
• Oversee investigations of perinatal HIV and congenital syphilis.
• Conduct quality assurance of program activities.
