Human Services of Faribault & Martin Counties is seeking a full-time Registered Sanitarian to independently manage environmental health inspections and respond to public health concerns. The role focuses on safeguarding community health through inspections of food, lodging, pools, and related facilities.

Applicants should have a four-year degree in environmental/physical sciences and be eligible for REHS/RS certification in Minnesota.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental health or related sciences required.
• Registered Sanitarian certification or eligibility desired.

Aufgaben

• Conduct inspections for licensed food, beverage, lodging, and pool establishments.
• Perform school food service inspections twice per year.
• Complete plan reviews and licensing activities for new and existing establishments.
• Respond to nuisance, radon, lead concerns, and other environmental hazards.
• Investigate foodborne and waterborne illness reports.
• Educate operators and the public to ensure compliance.
• Document inspections and issue corrective orders with follow-up.
