The City of Waco seeks a dedicated Sanitarian to safeguard community health by ensuring compliance with environmental health regulations. You will perform inspections across food, wastewater, solid waste, air and water quality, and vector control in facilities throughout Waco-McLennan County.

Under supervision, you will organize training, enforce statutes, and prepare status reports. The role may require afterhours availability to respond to emergencies and incidents, supporting public health

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree with 30+ hours in basic/applied science and 6 months inspection experience.
• Master’s degree with 30+ hours in basic/applied science.

Mansioni

• Performs environmental health inspections and investigates complaints to verify compliance with state and local regulations.
• Organizes and presents training programs; enforces health regulations and prepares reports.
• May respond afterhours during emergencies.
• Operates city vehicle to conduct onsite inspections across Waco-McLennan County.
