Job summary

Florida Department of Health is seeking a Quality Control Administrator - SES to oversee review cycles for clinic procedures, ensure compliance, and monitor Medicaid and DOH deliverables. The role requires coordinating monitoring visits, directing corrective actions, and training staff to maintain central records.

The successful candidate will supervise staff, manage multiple priorities, and handle PHI in accordance with HIPAA and security policies. Location is Sarasota, FL.

Responsibilities

• Owns the review and revision cycle for clinic operating procedures, standing orders, and the Operating Processes Manual.
• Serves as the designated operational compliance lead for the Division of Community Health Nursing, with delegated authority from the Community Health Nursing Director to escape compliance concerns.
• Standardized intake, documentation, and quality assurance workflows to a uniform division standard, eliminating program specific variants unless warranted.
• Monitors grant funded deliverables, spending, and required reporting against each categorical award, identifying variance early enough to correct within the budget period.
• Prepares for and responds to State office programmatic monitoring visits, coordinates corrective action plans, and tracks each action through verified closure.
• Ensures all staff complete required training and are offered additional role specific education, maintaining documented completion records centrally rather than by program.
• Conducts internal monitoring and auditing of clinical and administrative records, produces documented audit results, and reports findings to the Community Health Nursing Director.
• Monitors contractual and DOH programmatic deliverables and Medicaid requirements, and supports reporting, tracking, and performance measure activities.
• Maintains accessible channels for staff to raise compliance concerns without fear of retaliation and serves as liaison between clinical and administrative staff and leadership.
• Apply standards of conduct and disciplinary guidelines consistently across all supervised units, ensuring standards are communicated in advance.
• Supervises assigned staff including hiring, training, evaluating, motivating, and directing work.
• Handles protected health information on a need-to-know basis in accordance with Department of Health, HIPAA, and Information Security and Privacy policy
