Job summary

University of South Carolina invites applications for a full-time, professional-track position at the rank of Instructor to begin August 2027. This is a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track teaching, research, and service position with teaching four courses each fall and spring in Public Health & Human Services.

The role includes internship coordination and coordination with community organizations. PhD in Public Health or related discipline is required; ABD will be considered.

Qualifications

• PhD in Public Health, Health Education, Health Promotion, Public Administration, Public Policy, Healthcare Administration, or a related discipline.
• ABD will be considered with degree conferred by time of appointment.
• Evidence of teaching effectiveness is desired.
• CHES or CPH preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate Public Health courses related to internships, Health Behavior, Health Inequalities, Health Promotion, and other Public Health courses in online and traditional settings.
• Organize, coordinate, and facilitate internship operations to place, measure, and track internship effectiveness.
• Support the Chair of PHHS and perform additional duties as assigned.
