An established industry player is seeking a Public Health Practice Manager to lead and evaluate public health programs. This role involves providing technical assistance, conducting literature reviews, and developing educational materials. The ideal candidate will possess a Master’s degree in public health and have experience in program management, particularly in injury and violence prevention. The Public Health Practice Manager draws upon knowledge and expertise in public health, behavioral sciences, epidemiology, and health communications and applies that knowledge to the development and management of programmatic activities at the American Public Health Association. This position will also evaluate public health programs and provide technical assistance and consultation to various stakeholders on an array of public health issues.
This is a one-year grant-funded position, with the possibility of continuation based on funding and performance.
Master’s in public health or related field and at least 2 years of experience in program design and management. Knowledge of primary prevention concepts and application to public health programs. Strong oral and written communications skills including oral presentations, gathering, and synthesizing information, and preparing reports, correspondence, and other written materials. Experience working in injury and violence prevention. Computer literate including some proficiency in creating web-based documents. Availability for limited travel.

Position is based in downtown DC near several metro stations. Hybrid work environment.
Hours: 35 hours a week, full-time, Monday - Friday (daytime).
