Job summary

State of Georgia's Department of Public Health is seeking a Business Operations Manager to oversee administrative operations and financial duties within Environmental Health. The role supports program operations and data entry across staff, contractors and vendors.

This position emphasizes collaboration, process improvement, and compliance with state guidelines. Applicants should have an Associate degree and at least one year of related experience; Power BI and Power Automate experience is

Qualifications

• Associate degree in business or related field and 1 year of experience related to area of assignment.
• Equivalent combination of knowledge, education, job or intern experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Supervise administrative staff and environmental health administrative operations.
• Handle all financial duties: PO requisitions, tracking, P-card purchases and verifications, vendor work, reimbursements, and payments.
• Assist with contract action requests, contract management, and renewals.
• Provide program support with certification tracking and data entry for staff, contractors, soil scientists, body artists and registration of engineers and geologists who perform soil classification.
• Assist with organizing meetings, reservations, and group meal requests.
• Provide program support with the Environmental Health Information System.
• Offer policy recommendations and procedures related to Environmental Health administrative operations.
