The position requires an RN license in North Carolina, public health rotation experience, and the ability to work with diverse communities. The benefits package is extensive, and the workweek is 40 hours, with occasional weekends.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Public health clinical rotation during nursing school.
• Current RN license in North Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Management of hepatitis program; including delegation, investigation, follow-up, case management, and state audit.
• Management of rabies program; including delegation, monitoring, investigation, and follow-up.
• Oversee sexually transmitted infection program; including testing, treatment, and state audit.
• Investigation and follow-up of communicable diseases and input information into NCEDSS.
• Evaluate immunization records and administer vaccines as indicated/needed per standing order.
• Perform tuberculosis testing and interpret tuberculosis skin test readings.
