Job summary
Georgia Department of Public Health, District 2, seeks a PH Registered Nurse to join Hall County operations in Gainesville. The role covers clinical nursing care under supervision, with emphasis on public health protocols and community health.
You will collaborate with a diverse team, perform duties to prevent disease and protect residents, and may participate in disaster response. Minimum qualifications include nursing degree, Georgia license, PHN requirements, and CPR.
Qualifications
- PH RN 1 requires an ASN in nursing, PHN course within 1 year, Georgia RN license, and CPR.
- PH RN 2 requires a BSN or ASN with 1 year PHN experience, Georgia RN license, and CPR.
- CPR certification is required for both levels.
- Pre-employment drug screen and criminal records check; may be required.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care under supervision per protocols.
- For PH RN 2, focus on prevention, health maintenance, and disaster/bioterror protocols.
