Job summary

Columbus Public Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in the Sexual Health and Wellness Center under general supervision. You will perform triage, intake, medication administration, specimen collection, and EHR documentation, while educating patients and families on health topics and immunization programs.

You will collaborate with social workers and community agencies, oversee staff, participate in public health initiatives, and contribute to quality assurance

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid State of Ohio license as a Registered Nurse.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Some positions may require additional specialized training.
• At least 1 year of experience in a high-volume outpatient clinic preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred; strong communication skills in English and Spanish are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care and triage in a Sexual Health and Wellness Center.
• Administer medications and collect specimens per protocol.
• Maintain accurate electronic health record documentation.
• Provide patient education and health guidance to patients and caregivers.
• Coordinate with social workers and community partners for patient care.
• Participate in immunization programs and quality improvement activities.
• Supervise staff such as Medical Assistants and Outreach Workers.
• Collaborate with hospitals and health agencies to coordinate services.
