Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher in Life or Physical Science or related field.
• Six months experience in laboratory procedures for viruses/bacteria.
• Six months experience in analyzing scientific data.
• Six months experience applying Universal Safety Precautions.
• Six months experience in technical report writing.

Responsibilities

• Performs microbiological examinations on clinical specimens to identify pathogens.
• Performs quality control procedures.
• Maintains accurate records of test procedures and results.
• Prepares reports of microbiological procedures.
• May participate on special response teams during epidemics or medical emergencies.
