Job summary

California State University, East Bay is constructing a lecturer pool for the Department of Public Health to staff Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 terms. The positions are temporary, part-time instructional faculty with assignments across the East Bay area and online.

Applicants should hold a doctoral-level degree or be a candidate for such, with preference for those who have taught from a population health perspective considering social determinants and who have prior college‑level teaching

Qualifications

• Doctoral-level degree (PhD, DrPH, MD, JD, or proof of candidacy) required or candidate status under consideration.
• Experience teaching with a population perspective through a lens of social determinants is desired.
• Teaching experience at the college/university level is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses within the Department of Public Health as part of a temporary/lecturer pool.
• Courses may be offered at the Hayward campus, Concord Center, or Online; teaching assignments may vary by term.
