The role supports the Hospital Infection Prevention Program and acts as the Infection Prevention Officer under the director. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a healthcare-related field and 2+ years in nursing or acute care, with 3+ years of Infection

Work ShiftPosition Summary

The Infection Preventionist is responsible for activities surrounding infection prevention and control with emphasis on surveillance, investigation, data analysis/interpretation, consultation, and education. Through these activities, the Infection Preventionist supports the Hospital Infection Prevention Program to improve patient outcomes in all clinical areas as assigned by the director. This role serves as the Infection Prevention Officer.

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Healthcare related field and 2 years or more of experience in nursing or acute care setting. Additional years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of minimum education requirement.

3+ years of Infection Preventionist HIGHLY PREFERRED!!
