Qualifications

• A master’s degree in public health, health education, health promotion, or closely related field.
• A bachelor’s degree in health education, health science, public health, health promotion, community health, health communications, or closely related field.
• Alternate bachelor’s degree options with supervised health education experience as specified.

Responsibilities

• Develops and delivers presentations, educational programs, and training workshops to promote public health and health code compliance.
• Prepares and distributes written health education materials and resources to stakeholders.
• Represents the agency at meetings to share information with the public and partners.
• Conducts surveys to identify public health needs and resources.
• Plans and conducts on-the-job trainings; explains policies and procedures.
• Acts as liaison with other agencies to coordinate health education efforts.
