County of Shasta is seeking a Division Head for the Public Health Branch within the Health and Human Services Agency. You will lead health promotion programs, manage budgets and contracts, and supervise multidisciplinary staff to improve community health outcomes.

The role requires a strong strategic mindset, collaboration with community partners, and the ability to communicate effectively with public officials and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience supervising, managing, or administering public health or related programs.
• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in community or public health, nursing, health administration, or a field closely related to the area of assignment.
• A master’s degree in public health, health business, public administration, or a health-related specialty is highly desired and may substitute for one year of experience.

Responsabilités

• Provide creative leadership to plan, implement and coordinate Public Health programs and services.
• Negotiate and prepare contracts with state and other governmental agencies, community organizations, businesses, or individuals.
• Supervise staff, hire, train, motivate, evaluate, and discipline to foster program success.
• Monitor program expenditures and revenues and advise on budget submissions.
• Represent the Branch before County departments, community groups, and governmental agencies.
