Public Health Division Director - Community Health and Prevention (CHP)

The Public Health Division Director is a key leadership role within the Marin County Department of Health and Human Services. Reporting to the Public Health Officer, this position oversees the Community Health and Prevention (CHP) Branch, guiding its strategic direction and supervising staff.

The CHP Branch focuses on advancing health equity by addressing root causes of health issues and improving quality of life, with an emphasis on Primary Prevention. For more details about the branch’s work, visit https://www.marinhhs.org/public-health.

The Director ensures alignment of programs with departmental and county priorities, sets strategic goals, and manages resources to deliver impactful public health services.

About You

Qualifications

Knowledge of management principles, laws, regulations; ability to manage programs, interpret legislation, develop policies, and build effective relationships. A Bachelor's degree and four years of relevant experience, including supervisory experience, are typically required.
