The County of Marin is seeking a Public Health Division Director to lead the Community Health and Prevention Branch. The Public Health Division Director is a key leadership role within the Marin County Department of Health and Human Services. Reporting to the Public Health Officer, this position oversees the Community Health and Prevention (CHP) Branch, guiding its strategic direction and supervising staff.

The Director ensures alignment of programs with departmental and county priorities, sets strategic goals, and manages resources to deliver impactful public health services.
The ideal candidate demonstrates excellence in program management, data-driven decision-making, and leadership. They are committed to health equity and have experience in strategic planning, stakeholder collaboration, and managing public health initiatives. A background in managing teams, budgeting, regulatory compliance, and innovative solutions is essential. An advanced degree in Public Health or related fields is highly desirable.
Knowledge of management principles, laws, regulations; ability to manage programs, interpret legislation, develop policies, and build effective relationships. A Bachelor's degree and four years of relevant experience, including supervisory experience, are typically required.
