Job summary

Goldbelt Professional Services is seeking a Public Health Analyst II to support CDC and NCBDDD programs, focusing on birth defects, developmental disabilities, maternal and child health. The role emphasizes analytical support, stakeholder engagement, and program operations to monitor and improve health outcomes.

The candidate will be onsite in Atlanta, GA two days a week, with responsibilities spanning data analysis, reporting, and coordination of multi-site initiatives, requiring advanced

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Sciences, Biology, Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience supporting public health surveillance or related operations.
  • Experience with large public health datasets and data management.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and track MD-STARnet/NSBPR/UMPIRE project tasks to meet deadlines and requirements.
  • Maintain and update SOPs for the projects.
  • Analyze operations to identify strengths, weaknesses, and improvement opportunities; implement change management.
  • Establish a project tracking/reporting system via CDC SharePoint.
  • Prepare materials for IRB and OMB submissions as needed.
  • Develop study documents, protocols, timelines, and manuscript tracking in Excel.
  • Plan and coordinate meetings for CDC program staff and sites.
  • Develop agendas and take notes; capture actions.
  • Develop budgeting/tracking reports based on program data.
  • Support compliance with policies and internal controls.
  • Sort, clean, analyze data using R, SAS, SPSS and other CDC tools.
  • Share data analyses and findings with leadership in monthly sessions.
